Feature Request: Automatic SMS Opt-Out Suppression Across Contact Lists and Integrations
We use ClickSend for SMS marketing through Jobber and Zapier.
Currently, when a customer replies STOP, they are automatically added to the Opt-Out List. However, they are not automatically prevented from receiving future SMS messages, and we must manually use the Clean Up function before every campaign.
We would like ClickSend to automatically:
- Remove or suppress opted-out contacts from all active SMS marketing lists when they reply STOP.
- Prevent opted-out contacts from receiving future SMS messages across all sending methods, including Quick SMS, bulk campaigns and Zapier integrations.
- Prevent integrations such as Zapier from re-adding previously opted-out contacts to active marketing lists unless they have explicitly opted in again.
- Maintain a permanent record of opt-outs without requiring manual contact list management.
Ideally, this would work automatically across ClickSend and connected integrations without requiring users to manually clean contact lists before each campaign.
This would make SMS marketing more efficient, reduce the risk of accidentally contacting unsubscribed customers and help businesses maintain compliance with Australian spam regulations.
