Having the ability to delete or archive messages from the history would be good. Or the ability to flag messages as tests and hide or remove these from the history.

We'd love to see this. Some of the information in our messages is confidential so we'd like to disable history or allow for message deletion.

We could do with this feature too! 
We do appointment bookings and sometimes it is a back and forth conversations. However, once the appointment is made - the chat doesn't typically continue. 
So, we'd like to 'archive' or tag closed messages and have them automatically re-open if we receive another message from them.
I see that this feature has been marked "PLANNED" since 2018. So any update as to when it could be implemented would be great

Any timeframes on when this may be released? Happy to beta test...

It would be great also if we could customize a "default" amount of time (24h, 48h, 1 week, etc.) that messages would be kept before being deleted automatically. It would give more flexibility than the actual 4 months.
