People were getting texted two and three times because they were on more than one list—e.g. Website Users and Website Customers.

When someone buys, they’re added to the Customers list but never removed from Users, so the same campaign hits them multiple times.

The platform’s built-in “remove duplicates” only works inside a single list, not across lists.

Proposed Solutions

Add a feature to automatically detect and remove duplicates across all lists, not just inside one.

Allow an automation rule such as: When contact joins Customers → remove from Website Users.

When sending a campaign, give the option to exclude any contact who’s also in another specified list (dynamic suppression segment).

WOULD LIKE TO SEE INFORMATION MERGED INTO SAM CONTACT ACROSS THE BOARD INSTEAD OF INFORMATION SPLIT OR IF A CONTACT WAS ACCIDENTLY DUPLICATED, THEN THE DATA WOULD MERGE BEFORE DELETING ONE OF THE CONTACTS FOR THE SAME PERSON.

If I have two campaigns and two contact lists, if I scheduled them to go out at the same time make it so duplicate contacts dont get both messages.

When a person sends a text that qualifies for adding to the contact list, the system will allow multiple (to infinity) that same number to be a contact. Why would we want the same phone number as multiple contacts in a list??? We wouldn't. It's ridiculous! This is a deal killer for me. I can't use the system if it can't automatically NOT add duplicate numbers as contacts to the same list.

When sending an SMS to multiple groups, do not send multiple times to a contact who may be in multiple lists.

example if I texted one group and I have a new group but the person didn't text stop.

I want to remove the old contact from the new group to not text the person twice

Duplicate contacts should have a way to either not be texted twice or a feature to remove one listing.

Be able to remove duplicates across multiple lists and not just the one list.

I might have the same number in each contact list. I might be spending unnecessary money on a duplicate contact. Can I search for duplicate contacts in the near future please.

Contacts can only opt-in once per contact list. Once a contact is already in a list, The list should not accepte duplicates.
