Yes, and for MMS please!!

Dear Clicksend Crew, I am still getting SMS with ???? instead of the emojis as promised. I understand that an MMS enabled number might not receive emoji for some reason. Can my dedicated number be "fixed" such that it receives emoji rather than MMS ? The reason is that we get emoji just about every day in replies, but we've had only a very few MMS in the time we have used ClickSend.
Regards, Tony Barry

Emoji's are now supported for outbound SMS 🎉👏🏼.

Matthew: Does this means inbound is completed too?

Matthew: It's not working inbound so it I personally don't think this request can be marked completed.
Arguably it's more important inbound - I get question marks in place of emojis which means I can't often tell if a client's reply is positive or negative.
Please mark this request as something other than complete until it is.
Matthew
Glenn: Hi Glenn. Inbound is ready now, we're just slowly transitioning numbers across to reduce risk. Do you have a dedicated number? If so, I can convert it to support inbound emojis now. If not, we should have all numbers converted next week.

Brodie: We can't replicate this. Could you please try sending the same content via our dashboard and see if it's received?
B
Brodie
Matthew: If I send the same message from your dashboard then it is converted to a message with no emoji at all in both the second step as well as in the SMS message history. Incidentally the messages are marked as sent, but have never arrived.
Matthew
Brodie: Please check your settings here: https://dashboard.clicksend.com/#/sms/settings/unicode-sms
This needs to be set to Autodetect.

Matthew: This was the problem. Bi-directional emoji via shared numbers now working for me, also sending emoji via email. Thank you.

Emojis are ready for beta testing for all users for outbound SMS. Feel free to test it out and let us know if there are any issues. Inbound emojis will be available within a few weeks.

It is 2019, been a while since Windows 95, time to support emojis :)

As Jemaya and Kristian mentioned, if support is a ways off, in the meantime it would be nice to send some ASCII equivalents, such as could be found, for example, at https://stackoverflow.com/questions/29488143/is-there-an-equivalence-table-to-convert-ascii-smileys-to-unicode-emojis#29581503
