unicode characters to normal

I have a problem with characters that are omnipresent in Eastern Europe, like Ș, Ă, Ț, etc.
When I send a message with these characters, I pay for 2 messages instead of on, even if the overall char number is less than 160.
Would love to have the price as if these chars were S, A, T, etc.
Or at least an option to auto replace these chars with the "normal" ones :)

Non-ASCII Check/Replace

When I prepare a text message for ClickSend, I write it first in Word or in a Notes app and then paste it into the ClickSend Message area for an SMS/MMS. Almost each time I do so, the Message text area sees some items as non-ASCII and reduces the amount of available characters to 500 (see attachments). Sometimes it is just wrong and thinks spaces are non-ASCII characters. I have tested this on Windows and Mac on Chrome. The Message text area doesn't tell me which characters are problematic. But, if I guess and change a character, the amount of allowed characters goes back to the normal 1,500 allowed. This is odd behavior for a form field and I have never ever seen this anywhere. Either the filter/script is too rigid or we need some sort of way to identify the problematic characters. This really slows me down a lot.

Remove or at least identify Unicode chars in draft msg text

Have the option to remove Unicode characters! Or at least highlight them so we can remove or replace them. I just pasted in a msg; it looked just fine; but it was going to cost twice as many SMS msgs as it should have based on the number of chars. Your support guy said "Type it in." That did solve the problem, but it's also RIDICULOUS! Who types when they can paste in 2024? Please fix this.

Hi, you can find the option to strip out unicodes at https://dashboard.clicksend.com/messaging-settings/sms/general, under the SMS & MMS -> General -> Unicode.
Selecting "Force non unicode (GSM characters only)" will remove non-GSM characters when the message price is evaluated, as well as the outbound message
