Utilise Placeholders when working with selected contacts

I note that if I select recipients in a contact list and then 'Send SMS' (which I imagine is equivalent to clicking "Send to Selected' in the IOS App.), then the ( First Name) field in the text does not actually insert the first name. Since this is utilising the contact list data, surely the system can then recognise the Fist Name since I am actually working in the Contacts screen?'

Place Holders for manually picked multiple contacts - not just contact lists.

I need to be able to send a template text to multiple contacts specifically selected from my contact list, i.e. crew currently working on the job. At the moment place holders such as (First Name) work only if used with full contact lists. Any chance you could make it available for individual contacts?

Placeholders not picked up when sending to contacts

Placeholders like {FirstName} are not being picked up when sending to contacts. Apparently this only works for contact groups and not individual contacts even when they are in a contact list. Other SMS gateway services have this as standard and it should be included as a basic. Tom

Placeholders for non-Lists

Please create functionality to use Placeholders for messages that are sent to non-lists.
Sometimes we manually enter many different contacts that don't fall into a specific list, and we would like to use Placeholders so we can still address everyone by their first name.

Ops
yes i need this too.
reason being, some contacts provided wrong contact, so i have to update their contact and resend them the text. i do not want to create a temporary list just to re-send to 1.
