We here at Orange City Council are keen to start reviewing the statistics and data generated from our SMS campaigns. However, it was disappointing to learn that the only way to do this is via a short URL automatically generated by your portal. The issue is that these URLs appear suspicious—resembling spam or scam links—which raises legitimate concerns. While I understand the technical reasons behind this approach, the appearance of these links makes it difficult for us to confidently share them with our workforce. As a result, we’re currently unable to run campaigns that collect meaningful data, as we cannot in good conscience send out links that may be perceived as unsafe by our 800+ staff. Ideally, there would be a way to make these short URLs appear more trustworthy—perhaps through branding or a verified domain. Alternatively, if there were a method to gather analytics from regular, full-length URLs, that would allow us to meet tracking requirements without compromising trust. We hope this issue can be reviewed and addressed soon, as we feel we’re paying for a service that we’re currently unable to fully utilise. Thank you.
